Publicis Kaplan Thaler & Citi Bike Ride Off with 4 One Show Awards

NEW YORK CITY, NY (May 9, 2014) – Publicis Kaplan Thaler received four awards at the 2014 Annual One Show Awards competition, bringing home a gold pencil at the One Club’s final night of Creative Week in the Integrated Digital & Physical Product category for the team’s work on Citi Bike. Publicis also garnered a merit award, a silver pencil and a bronze pencil at The One Show Interactive Awards which recognizes the world’s best in digital marketing and interactive advertising. Publicis Kaplan Thaler was one of 97 Gold Pencil winners that emerged from 21,300 submissions from 63 countries.

Bronze_PencilThe One Show Interactive awards ceremony was held at Stage 37 on May 7th, and the One Show awards ceremony, held on May 9th, was hosted by Alec Baldwin at Alice Tully Hall in New York City.

Regarding the impressive win, Publicis Kaplan Thaler’s Chief Creative Officer, Rob Feakins shared, “Winning a One Show pencil is an incredible achievement. Winning three One Show pencils says a campaign has achieved true greatness. Publicis Kaplan Thaler and Citi Bike also kicked off Creative Week in New York City, hosting a panel discussing what made the Citi Bike launch so successful. Publicis Kaplan Thaler’s Rob Feakins and Executive Creative Director, Jim Kotulka, Citi’s Director of Creative & Media/NA, Elyssa Gray and moderator, Ad Age’s Shaeen Pathak discussed how it’s incredible how giving back to consumers in a meaningful way translates to stronger brand engagement and results.

Regarding the past fives years at the helm of the One Club, Roddy added, “Being Chairman of The One Club these past 5 years has been both an honor and a pleasure. I believe we accomplished some important things together and have set the foundation for many other important things to come. They have asked me to remain a board member and I will be honored to do so. After everything The Club has done for me and my career, I’m glad to have the opportunity to give back.”
